The HTML Editor

Editing web pages in Consolo is similar to working with a word processor such as Microsoft® Word. This means the editing is very intuitive and you will recognize most of the features from other programs.

Editable Areas

The web pages on the web site can contain different editable regions or columns; therefore, you may have to double-click the area or the column you want to edit.

Text Editing

Editing of text in Consolo is very similar to editing text in other programs. However, there are two features that are important to be aware of:

A single line break, that is a line break (continue typing on the next line) without a new paragraph (in html code: <br>), is created by holding the Shift key down while pressing Enter.

A space that doesn’t break, a hard space, is a space that will not be replaced by a line break if it ends up at the end of a line (in html code:  ). This is created by holding Shift and Ctrl down while pressing the spacebar.
